A coat rack you can make!

I'm back at the trash in my garage that I need to make pretty.

We've been needing some hooks in the garage to put our coats on, so why not make a pretty one! I had this great board from the trash pile. I cut it in half, and the first half I made into a Christmas card holder for Drew's teacher, and the other half is all mine for the coat rack!

I painted it White, then let it dry!

Then my hubs and I went to Micheal's (I should really be paid by them, for the advertising I give them :) I found these AWESOME letters!!! You can paint them, sand them, and when you pop them out you have a GREAT stencil!!! BONUS! They were $20 but with the 50% off one item and total score! So I simply stenciled our last name on in black, and added some hooks, super easy, super cute!

I have these other fun boards and great hooks! I'm going to customize one for sale: $35. Let me know if you interested by emailing me: agnatalie@yahoo.com

A Silhouette Necklace...of YOUR kids!

These are something that I have been working on for a while now! Let me just say, trial and error trial and error. My sister in law saw something similar online and I wanted one immediately!!! But they were so so expensive! So I figured that I could do that! Well, now, after:

- a sink bottom completely covered in epoxy, with all the dirt and grime permanently stuck underneath
- 2 photo design programs
- 4 days, one husband, and one brother, of fixing the printer
- trial and error of 5 different types of glue
- and one month of waiting on the products to complete them and trust me...much much more
.... I give you....THE SILHOUETTE NECKLACES!!!!

I know what your thinking mom's: I already bought a custom wax stamp with my kids initials, then I had to buy round charms with my family names custom stamped...I have enough kido necklaces! Well let me tell you what; this is WAY cuter.

I am going to start with 5 custom orders....so the first 5 are the first 5 for now.

  • Custom Silhouette Necklace: $38 for round charm and the necklace
  • TO ADD a additional oval silhouette : $15 each Silver or antiqued bronze (These are not available on their own)
  • This price does not include shipping: Shipping will cost an additional $4

What I will need from you is:
I need you to take a profile picture of each of your kids, or of whomever you would like in the necklace. Do this in FULL light in front of a white wall (garages work GREAT!!) There can not be shadows around the image. Also please wear dark colors unlike my hubby in the above picture! Then email them to me in the highest quality available:) Above is a picture of my hubby and I kissing...This was done by taking a profile picture of us kissing in front of the garage...pretty simple. Then I photo-shop the image to make it appear as black and white....and did a little of this and that and below is the necklace!!! (agnatalie@yahoo.com)

Cait, do those kridders look familiar?????....this baby is all yours!!

A Shelf For Any Room!

This baby was another find from the big trash pile!!! I new that I could make something fun with it, I just had no idea what. I really wanted to do something that could go in anyone's home and in any room. First things first, I had to clean it up......because it was seriously nasty!

Then I gave it a paint job. I just used eggshell white interior paint.

After letting it dry I traced and oval on the corner and painted an oval frame on it in black acrylic paint.

Then i drilled some holes to attach nobs to the front. I thought they could be used for so many things. Hang towels from them, hang pictures, frames, decorations....

I found these nobs in the dollar section at Micheal's.....AMAZ!

I screwed this little bracket to the front and printed a little vintage number image to go inside.

All DONE!!!! I CAN NOT decide if I want to sell it though. I really like it!! Shoot! So for this one, I'm just saying if you like it as much as me, make me an offer.

Vintage Keyhole Necklace

For the trash to treasure project I bought a bunch of these great vintage looking keyholes all completely unique. Since I have only used a couple for the project, I thought I should do something else with them....

Before I go to the necklaces though, I have to do a personal sidebar.

Cam and I just got back from Tahoe. We went with a great group of friends and we're so blessed with the gift from someone to stay in their cabin. But it got me to thinking......

Why do people with cabin's feel the need to buy whittled bears/eagles/antlers smothered in lacquer, and call them cabin decorations????????

It was so so beautiful up there and I guess I don't understand how this:

Is reflected in the least bit, in this:

.....JUST SAYING! Really Really great trip though!

ANYwho... These are the first of the necklaces, that I am adding to the things that I will be selling on my blog. These keyhole necklaces are $20 each and I will ship them for free to wherever you are!(in the states)
If you enlarge this next image you can see that there are numbers next to them, because they are all completely unique. So let me know which one you would like to order based upon the corresponding number!

Cristmas Card Fun

This piece of wood has such great color and character all to itself so why paint it!? I wanted to do something Christmas-y with it, and one of my favorite things is Christmas cards! So I took that wirey hooky thing off and Added a vintage clip to cover the hole. Then I traced a circle in pencil with my trash bucket;)

Obviously I sanded it down...
Then I went to work painting a wreath on it. I used white paint and did branch like somethings wrapping around the circle I traced...

Then I stenciled the word JOY over it...I had to do it in white first, let it dry, then red over the top. Otherwise the red wouldn't be bright on the brown wood.

I used a string of jute on the clip and on the top through two holes....To hang and to hang the CHRISTMAS CARDS!
