more doors...

I FINALLY DID IT!
I DID SOMETHING WITH ALL THE REMAINING DOORS I HAD IN THE GARAGE. I HAD THREE. THE FIRST OF WHICH I DESTROYED TRYING TO CUT A STRAIGHT LINE, AROUND THE DOOR KNOB, WITH A HAND SAW. SO IT WAS JUST A MATTER OF LUGGING THEM TO MY DAD'S TO USE HIS TABLE SAW. (IT'S ABOUT TIME I GET ONE OF THOSE.) I DID THINK THAT IT WOULD BE A LITTLE EASIER THAN IT ACTUALLY WAS. LET ME TELL YOU, OLD SOLID WOOD DOORS IS HEAVY! CUTTING THESE BABIES WAS A TWO PERSON JOB AT MINIMUM.
BUT MY TWO DOORS BECAME 4 WORKING PIECES OF CHARM. THE FIRST WHITE DOOR HAD THE YELLOW GLASS DIAMONDS ON THE TOP( ALWAYS A CLASSY CLASSY CHIOCE), SO IT WAS JUST A MATTER OF HIDING THAT. I WAS FIRST GOING TO KNOCK THEM OUT, BUT THEN SAW ALL THOSE DIY MERCURY GLASS TUTORIALS ON PINTEREST.

I TAPED THE DIVIDING WOOD AND STARTED TO SPRAY. THE TAPING TAKES A WHILE (UNDERSTATEMENT)

THEN I TRIED BOTH THE LOOKING GLASS SPRAY ($11.99 AT HOBBY LOBBY IN A TINY BOTTLE) AND METALLIC ($6.99 AT HOBBY LOBBY IN A REGULAR CAN) I THOUGHT THEY MIGHT LOOK INTERCHANGEABLE, BUT THEY DIDN'T. YOU NEED TO SPRING FOR THE LOOKING GLASS SPRAY PAINT.
ONCE DRIED, I RUBBED SOME OF THE PAINT OFF, THEN SANDED THE WOOD AND FINISHED WITH A CLEAR SPRAY. THEN ADDED GLASS KNOBS TO FUNCTION AS HOOKS. IT'S SO CUTE, AND FOR SALE:

LOOKING GLASS DOOR: $85 (36X43)

THIS IS THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR. THIS WAS SANDED AND FINISHED WITH A CLEAR COAT. HOOKS ADDED, IT HAS A RUSTIC FEEL OF OLD BARN DOORS.

BARN DOOR: $65 ( 36X36)

THIS ONE IS AMAZING! IT'S WEATHERED RECLAIMED SOLID WOOD, IT REMINDS ME OF ALL THINGS RESTORATION HARDWARE THESE DAYS. THIS WAS SANDED AND TOPPED WITH A CLEAR COAT, ADDED HOOKS AND WILL ADD SO MUCH CHARACTER TO ANY ENTRY!
RECLAIMED DOOR: $75 (36X45)
